Agri Awareness for UAS Ops

The course is an introduction into agriculture and agricultural crop protection and is designed for professional operators of UAS. The course is stand-alone. Once you've completed the course, you'll need to complete a BASIS application form and provide some additional information. Once received by BASIS, a link to the online exam will be sent to you. Course content and application process will be provided on course completion.

The course is split into several modules/chapters covering Farming and Farming practices; crops and crop production; and legislation including health and safety. A further chapter covers the role of commercial UAS operators, points of contact, stages in the crop lifecycle where data captured by drones may be of benefit, and future opportunities. BASIS is an independent standards setting and auditing organisation for the pesticide, fertiliser and allied industries.

The BASIS Professional UAS Register is a membership of professional UAS operators offering data capture services to the farming and agricultural supply chain sectors.

1. Members details will be displayed on the BASIS Website under 'FIND A UAS OPERATOR.' 2. The register will be actively seeking to create partnerships within agricultural sector, establishing it's members at the forefront of the farm drone industry. 3. The register will be an opportunity to share and gain knowledge, discuss and share opportunities, and make use of discounts on offer to members (insurance, equipment hire, etc)

The course costs £300 + VAT (£360), and covers the online course, exam costs and your first year's BASIS membership. A VAT invoice can be provided on request.

Yes, not just 1 but 2 certificates will be provided once you've passed the exam. 1 is a course certificate; 2. is a certificate proving membership of the Professional UAS Register. You'll also get a membership card.
